There are not a wide range of athletes that have made it into
this category and the lengths that have been made by these four gentleman to
become a part of the Hall of Fame is a great accomplishment. Earl Campbell,
Warren Moon, Curly Culp, and Elvin Bethea; these four gentlemen
have made a name for themselves not only in football but in their communities as
well. For these guys, football was only the beginning but what has come from
this platform has been far greater to those that have been touched by what these
men have bestowed upon their life. They have proven to be builders for not only
young blacks outside playing the sport of football but for minorities alike in
many more arenas.
